a place for film | moments in time

Hi there, I wanted to say "thank you" for stopping by and looking. It's taken me a lot to even get to this point. We live in a time where our feed is filled with pristine shots and not-so-special stories. So why would mine matter or make a difference anyway? I'm not sure, but if it connects with only one person ever, then it does matter and I can be appreciative of the opportunity. I started shooting film because when my mom passed away in 2021, my brother and I went through her things and found a stockpile of film that she had taken throughout her life before us kids when she was young, ambitious, and adventurous. It made me want to do the same. To capture the good moments that I'd get to experience. Also, growing up, my dad always had a camera and captured a lot of memories. When he passed away in 2023 I was able to find some amazing photos as well attached to childhood memories. Film photography has been a way to grieve. A way to remember and honor my parents for different reasons. It challenges me to slow down, be patient, and be thankful for the time that I've been given. If you've made it this far, again, thank you. I hope you enjoy.
